the Brown family…

Please enjoy just a few of Kelly and Todd’s favorite images from their urban portrait session.   During the pre session consultation with Kelly, she agree that the urban setting suited the family.  I love to go for the few more traditional family shots, and then let the kids be themselves and explore their surroundings.  These two little people were easily coached to position, but their expressions and antics are all them!  This type of session, free from restrictions allows personalities to come forward which results in images that tell a story about who they are.  Enjoy!

I think they are having fun!

I love the expressions on their faces!

I am so pleased to represent some of the trendiest frames in the business!  These frames come in more colors than I can count and have about nine different edges…check them out!    They are perfect to frame portraits for children’s rooms, nurseries and even your living room!  (more colors available…this is just a sample!)

You may order your frame single stacked (below) and double or triple stacked.

Happy New Year Tanya and Albert Chavez!

I love it when we come into a new year – new beginnings, full of hope and promise.  I don’t set resolutions but I am going to try very hard to keep my blog current!  I haven’t done very well these past several months!

So to get off on a good foot, I am posting here a few of my favorites images from Tanya and Alberts fall session with their four fun children in the countryside.

Enjoy!

Dog days of summer…[pet photography]

This summer I wanted to do something special for someone who had been very kind to me in a crisis.  When I was asked if I would photograph the family pet as a surprise for his master,  I was more than happy to say yes, even though I don’t consider myself a pet photographer.

Please meet Huckleberry,  what a gorgeous Golden Retriever he is, and what a lover!  (We had a Golden several years ago and it made me miss our “Brinkley”! )

Huckleberry is a big time water dog, so when we went to the park for his “portrait session”.   After his “formal” time, we went down to the pond to play.  I was crossing my fingers that I could get at least one decent image of him as he retrieved.   They ended up being my favorites.

Just as in photographing people, my goal is to tell a visual story about the subject and not just what he/she or it looks like.   I think it went pretty well – how about you?
