This little lady is Natalie. She is 5 months old and a beautiful baby. Her blue eyes sparkle as her mommy speaks to her. She is like most children in that she didn’t want to smile so much with my camera pointed at her, but with mommy and daddy doing silly things behind me, there were a few precious smiles. This little lady brings joy to the home, but there is heartbreak residing as well as Natalie has a terminal condition – one that I can’t even pronounce. This family won’t experience the delight of a first birthday party with balloons and a messy cake, or dolls and tea parties and the countless wondrous miracles most families enjoy as they watch their children grow. My prayer for them is that they will have many many days and weeks remaining with Natalie, and that the photographs taken of her will make them smile.
